Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Superior Dough (the "Service"), operated by Coppermore LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

Superior Dough is a baking app for home and craft bakers. Core features include:

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the local minimum digital-consent age, whichever is higher) to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you and consents to your use of the Service.

3. License to use the service

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own baking activities. You may not resell, white-label, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs as a substitute for the Service itself.

4. Your content

You own the content you create in the Service — formulas, bake logs, notes, photos, comments. By posting content to the public Bench feed you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except to the extent we are required to retain it for legal or operational reasons (backups, audit logs).

We will never use your content to train third-party AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Superior Dough offers paid plans alongside a free tier. Current tiers:

Web and Android subscriptions are billed through Stripe. iOS subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate for your tier. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Account → Manage Subscription, which routes to Stripe's customer portal on web or to Apple's subscription-management surface on iOS.

If you cancel, paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate refunds for partial periods except where required by law (such as the App Store's mandatory refund window in some jurisdictions). Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

7. Founding Baker rate-lock policy

If your subscription lapses for more than 90 days — through cancellation, payment failure, or any other interruption — your Founding Baker rate forfeits and any future re-subscription is at the then-current Artisan price. Your Founding Baker hallmark and member number are restored if you re-subscribe within the 90-day window.

The rate-lock applies to your subscription, not your account. If you transfer the account or change the email of record, the rate-lock follows the account, not the human. Founding Baker membership is non-transferable.

8. Free-tier limits

Free accounts may send a limited number of Baker Chat questions per month (currently five). Limits may change as we tune the model and the cost economics. We will notify you in-app when limits change. Rate limits exist to control operational cost and are not subject to negotiation at the individual-account level.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that, in our reasonable judgment, expose us to legal liability. On termination, we delete your data per the Privacy Policy; some operational records may be retained where legally required.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any specific feature will remain available. Baking advice in the Service — including Baker Chat responses, calculator outputs, and timing predictions — is informational. We do not guarantee the outcome of any bake. Recipes do not necessarily reflect dietary, allergen, or food-safety considerations specific to your situation; you are responsible for evaluating them against your needs.

11. Intellectual property

The Superior Dough name, the s·d monogram, the wordmark, the Formula Lab calculator engine, and the user-interface designs are property of Coppermore LLC. Public-domain technique and the underlying baker's-percentage mathematics are not. You retain all rights in your own content.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coppermore LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming for any dispute arising out of these Terms.

14. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app at least seven days before the changes take effect and require re-acceptance for continued use. Non-material clarifications take effect on the date posted at the top of this page.
